Job Description
The Greenwich Bay Sailing Association is seeking to hire an experienced Opti RWB coach and a 420 Race Coach. Our sailors are committed to the sport and most participate in Fall and Spring seasons with us and through their schools.
We are a non-profit sailing center connected with the East Greenwich Yacht Club. We are located in central Narragansett Bay and compete in NBYA. Our teams travel and race in NBYA events as well as regional events.
As a program, we are investing more in our racing program and have seen our racers move up in competitiveness. We are looking to continue to grow our racing program. GBSA is the annual host the CJ Buckley Regatta, which serves as the 420 Association's National Team Race Championship. We typically host 1-2 other junior regional events as well -- GBSA is a great spot for a coach who wants to be where the action is.
The program length is 8 weeks and there is a setup week before the program and another 2-3 days at the end to break everything down. Staff hours are 830-430. Compensation is salary/experience based and competitive within our region.  There are lots of opportunities to arrange private lessons and work with adults, too!
Our club has a wonderful community and culture -- our families are supportive and collaborative and often volunteer to help out the program. Parents are a help, not a hindrance, at our club. GBSA is a stand out club on the bay for its sense of friendliness, sportsmanship, and competition.
Out of state employees will be provided a housing stipend and the director can assist in arranging housing if need be.
