CBI is unique within Junior Sailing – it’s not a camp, and certainly not your typical yacht club. CBI serves children ages 11+ from greater Boston, including those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to sail. CBI has fleets of Mercuries, 420s, Lasers, windsurfers, Ideal 18s, Sonars, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards.
The Safety Launch Operator’s main duty is to monitor the water and respond to safety situations including capsizes, run-a-grounds, or other on-the-water emergencies. Additionally, the Safety Launch Operator will provide ferry service to CBI’s moored keelboats. When not on the water, the Safety Launch Operator assists with instructing classes and general operations.
