Job Description
Requirements

The waterfront assistant sailing coach will be responsible for;

  • Provide excellent customer service to members of the yacht club
  • Operating a power vessel safely
  • Adhering to strict safety protocol
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, professional manner
  • Assist in the maintenance of our fleet
  • Develop, improve and deliver youth and adult sailing curriculum
  • Coach and instruct sailors of all ages and ability levels
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the waterfront/marina facilities and equipment
  • Maintain current US Sailing Level 1 requirements
  • Attends regattas, club sailing events and marina events
  • Delegates duties to assistant coaches when Sailing Director is not present
  • Assist the Dockmaster/dock attendants in their duties
  • Staff the Marina office
  • Provide fuel service to marina users
  • Help members and guests while docking
  • Other duties as assigned by the Sailing Director, Dockmaster and club managers

 

Qualifications

  • AED First Aid CPR
  • FL NASBLA
  • Safesport and Heads up
  • US Sailing Level 1

 

Other

  • Pre-employment drug screening
  • Criminal background check

 

Physical/Environmental

  • Working outside in a hot environment
  • Lifting upwards of 50lbs frequently
  • Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crawling
