Island Heights Yacht club is seeking experienced and/or enthusiastic Sailing Instructors for our 2021 Summer season. A love of sailing and working with children is required.
Since 1951, our program has offered children the opportunity to learn to sail, make new friends, spend time outside and have lots of fun. All within the tried and true environment of the Island Heights Yacht Club. With a sharp focus on safety, the program is designed to teach sailing, seamanship, teamwork, confidence and much more...
We sail Optimist, Laser, FEVA and 420 dinghies, in 7 fleets, broken down by age and ability level.
We purposely limit the size of the program to ensure every child gets the instructor time and mentoring they deserve.
In addition to learning to sail and race a boat, we focus on having fun!
The Island Heights Yacht Club is located on the Toms River in NJ. The term of employment is 8 weeks; beginning approx. June 21st. Hours may vary but are typically Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, with some Fridays required.
Compensation varies with experience. We will consider making housing available for the right candidate from out of the area.
For consideration, please forward a resume and cover letter to Eric Bornebusch at firstname.lastname@example.org
