Position Summary
The Eastern Yacht Club is seeking a Youth keelboat Coach to lead classes for beginners and intermediate young sailors, using Sonars to train in. We are looking for a coach who brings creative ideas to make big boat sailing engaging and enjoyable, whether through racing or recreational activities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and inspiring young sailors, with an emphasis on fostering a fun, supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- Substantial dinghy and keelboat racing
- Technical, tactical and strategic knowledge
- Coaching experience
- US Sailing Small Boat Sailing Instructor Level 1, CPR and First Aid, and SafeSport Certified
- The ability to be based in Marblehead, MA from early June mid August (Can discuss possible housing)
Pay is Based on experience.
Will reimburse for Level 1, CPR & First aid, and SafeSport certification upon first day or work.
