Job Description

Beach Point Yacht Club, in Mamaroneck NY, is seeking a Head Instructor and Sailing/Waterfront Instructors for the 2021 Summer Season. The mission of our Program is to provide a safe, fun, educational and COVID compliant environment for juniors to grow to appreciate the Long Island Sound. Instructors will lead waterfront fun in kayaks, catamarans, paddle boards and optis. Harbor tours in the Club’s power boats, fishing, snorkeling and excursions in bigger boats is part of the experience. While this is not a traditional sailing program, children wishing to sail recreationally or competitively will have the option. The campers will range from 7 to 15 years of age.

– The Head Instructor will be responsible for supervising the sailing instructors and maintaining a safe, well ordered, and fun-filled environment for our campers.

– The Sailing Instructors will be enthusiastic and committed sailors who love to sail and want to share that love with a new generation of campers.

Job Requirements
Each position is a full-time salaried position for 9 to 10 weeks. Instructors may have the ability to pick up additional coaching ours after the camp day or on weekends. Optional All candidates must have the US Sailing Level 1 Certificate (and the Head Instructor the Level 2 Certificate), Safe Powerboat Handling Certificate and current First Aid and CPR. Lunch is provided.
