Job Description
Jackson Yacht Club Foundation is looking for a full time Sailing Instructor.  The instructor will have primary responsibility for planning and coaching high school sailing teams, summer sailing camp, and other established programs.  The instructor will also help start other programs including a year round Opti program and adult sailing classes.
The Jackson Yacht Club Foundation partners with the Jackson Yacht Club and has recently build a new Sailing Center, purchased new 420's, two Viper 640s and a new RIB.  Currently, the Foundation manages four high school sailing teams with approximately 50 students sailing weekly.  Summer Sailing Camp is managed by the Jackson Yacht Club with sessions spanned across 6 weeks in the summer.
The responsibilities of the position include:
*Develop lessons plans and preparing class activities
*Using Regatta Network for managing classes and regattas
*Using US Sailing Skill Up to grade the progress of individual students 
*Conduct Practices with adjustments made for weather and student progress
*Travel to and supporting regattas as needed
*Maintain a safe and fun environment
*Debriefing with sailors after practices with a focus on meeting specific goals
*Utilize video when appropriate for reviewing performance
*Appropriately handle any behavior issues which arise
*Communicate with sailors and parents via email, GroupMe and in person
*Proper care, handling and maintenance of all motorboats and sailboats
*Recruiting new sailors for sailing programs 
Job Requirements
Strong knowledge of sailing, racing and on water instruction. Enthusiastic, energetic, and organized to lead a vibrant community wide sailing program.
