Do you love sailing and love sharing your knowledge of sailing with others? Will you be 15 or older by June 1, 2025? If you answered yes to these questions, then being a Lake Champlain Yacht Club Jr. Sailing Instructor may be your dream summer job!
LCYC is looking for a Head Instructor, Instructors, Junior Instructors and Instructors In Training. The season runs from June 16-August 8. Pay Ranges from $16-$25 per hour depending on experience.
Requirments
- Head Instructor: 18 years of age, current U.S. Sailing Small Boat Level 1 (Level 2 or 3 preferred) Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications, completion of the Boat Vermont Boaters Safety course (powerboat operators license), 4 years sailing experience, 1-2 years of coaching, counseling or mentoring experience, 1-2 years of sailing program supervision preferred.
- Instructor: 18 years of age, current U.S. Sailing Small Boat Level 1 Instructor Training , Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications, completion of the Boat Vermonts Boaters Safety course (powerboat operators license), 4 years of sailing experience, 1-2 years of coaching, counseling or mentoring experience.
- Jr. Instructor: 16 years of age. Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification, 4 years of sailing experience, preferred 1-2 years of coaching, counseling or mentoring experience. Completion of U.S. Sailing Small Boat Level 1
- Instructor In Training: 15 years of age. Sailing experience preferred
