Job Description

The Beverly Yacht Club is seeking Senior Instructors for our junior sailing program for the summer of 2023.

Beverly Yacht Club, established in 1872 is one of the oldest yacht clubs in operation today and has a long history of strong racing and cruising that “promote yachting and good fellowship.”

The junior sailing program serves to educate sailors from age 7-18 in all aspects of sportsmanship and seamanship which we cultivate through a variety of classes from learn-to-sail to competitive racing.

We are seeking qualified individuals with strong leadership skills that can bring fun and creativity to our summer sailing classes. The ideal candidate would be a creative, capable, and safety conscious instructor who is looking to have a great time out on the waters of Buzzards Bay this summer while passing on a love of sailing to the next generation.

Job Requirements

Past experience teaching sailing and working with kids

Availability from mid-June to mid-August

Ability to design and implement age appropriate curriculum

US Sailing Level 1 (or applicable coursework)

Ability to perform routine boat maintenance and repairs such as gel coat and light fiberglass etc. (favorable)
