Fort Lauderdale is looking for SUMMER COACHES! Please join us for a fun filled, easy summer of coaching optis and 420s in Learn-To-Sail Programs. South Florida is a great venue to spend the summer. Spend your off time with access to intercostal and ocean sailing. These programs are only Monday through Friday, 8:15am - 4:30pm so weekends and evenings are free. You can continue education through NOVA Southeastern, Broward College or FAU in the evenings. Pursue your own sailing career with easy access to many of the great sailing programs in the area-Ft. Lauderdale, Miami or US Sailing Center in Martin County/Jensen Beach. See below for the two programs we need summer coaches. Lauderdale Yacht Club

This is a very established program of Optis and 420s with learn-to-sail and competitive green and red, white, blue fleets. There are 4 two-week sessions.

 

Responsibilities:

* Work closely with other sailing instructors as a team.

*Help sailors establish routines and teach basic sailing instruction.

*Teach safety on and off the water.

*Maintain grounds for safe boating experiences-launch and put away coach boats.

 
 

City of Ft. Lauderdale Summer Program

This is a new program with only 12 sailors per two week session. This is strictly learn to sail. One head coach and 2 assistant coaches are needed. Housing is available for these 3 coaches.

Responsibilities:

*Ensure safety on and off the water.

*Teach basic sailing instruction.

* Maintain the boats and surrounding areas.

 
Job Requirements
Current Level 1 or 2 certification, CPR First Aid.
Ft. Lauderdale City Program requires DCF background check
