Job Description
Bow Mar Yacht Club, located on a beautiful neighborhood lake at the foot of the Rocky Mountains, is looking for a Sailing Program Director for 2023. This is a well-established, fun and competitive Junior Sailing Program, for ages 8 to 18 years old. Bow Mar Lake (formally known as Bowles Lake) is the center of a friendly, family-oriented community. Classes are taught on a beautiful 100-acre private neighborhood lake, with a large sandy beach and facilities, just 20 minutes southwest of Denver. The program serves approximately 80 students during the course of our 10-week season. Classes are taught primarily in Sunfish, Teras, Lasers, Fevas and Snipes.

We are currently seeking an experienced and energetic Program Director for our 10-week, 2023 season. The Program Director will act as head instructor for all beginning, intermediate and advanced classes, as well as the race team.  He/she will also be in charge of the entire Jr Sailing Program, including lesson plans, overseeing a small staff of 3-4 instructors, maintenance and upkeep of the club boats and the club powerboat. We also have an adult community looking to learn to sail. Creating some form of adult class, or classes, will also be part of the Sailing Director’s job.

There is also an opportunity to add hours and income, with adult and private lessons.

Bow Mar is a great place to spend the summer! Spend your weekdays teaching on our beautiful lake and your weekends exploring Denver, or hiking and biking in the Colorado mountains, only 40 minutes away. No classes the week of July 4.

Competitive Compensation. Housing is available.
