Job Description

Texas Corinthian Yacht Club is a small and friendly club right on Galveston Bay. Our junior program facilitates sailing for roughly 50 junior sailors who have completed 1st grade, most with prior experience in a feeder program we call ‘Bait Camp’, which helps get them comfortable on and in the water. We also support adult sailing, with races mostly in Sunfish and Sonars. Our sailors are always improving their sailing skills by exploring different aspects of sailing. We offer windsurfing, Opti, Sunfish, Laser, and (new) Feva classes.

With 6 new Fevas in our fleet, we’re looking to bring even more people on the water and share the fun to an even wider group of people in our membership! We’ve created some new and exciting events to unite the different generations of the club. We want to keep the juniors sailing by having fun during class while mastering the basics of sailing, and to encourage those who are interested in the racing and higher performance aspects of sailing.

The Summer Sailing Program runs Memorial Day Weekend to mid-August, but not all coaches are needed in August, and we are working on some flexible scheduling options since we understand full-summer commitments may not be an option. We offer on-site housing for instructors who need it and meals while the clubhouse is open. Pay is competitive and based on experience and years of instruction.
